As per an exclusive report by South Korea’s SBS Biz, Samsung has set its sights on a January 17 release date for the upcoming Galaxy flagship in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. The company has allegedly concluded its arrangements for the launch event, marking the commencement of the preparations.
Following the debut of the Galaxy S21 series in January 2021, this upcoming launch would mark the company’s return to a January release, a departure from its recent launch history.
Anticipated as a game-changer, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is poised to usher in a new era of enhancements within the series, boasting significant AI advancements that position it as Samsung’s pioneering ‘Generative AI’ smartphone. Adding to the excitement, Samsung unveiled its proprietary Exynos 2400 chipset in October, indicating its potential use in powering the Galaxy S24 Ultra across specific regions.
According to the tech titan, the chip touts a remarkable 30% boost in GPU speed, an impressive 70% acceleration in CPU performance, and an astonishing 14.7-fold increase in NPU speed. What’s even more intriguing is its capacity for on-device AI processing, enabling advanced Generative AI functionalities like text-to-image conversion.
As per the trusted source, Frost Realm, OneUI 6.1, the Android 14-derived interface set to grace the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup, promises a multitude of innovative AI functionalities for the smartphones, alongside the anticipation of an enhanced virtual assistant poised to outperform Bixby.
The tipster continued, “As far as I know, Samsung currently devotes nearly all of its software development resources to the new AI of the Galaxy S24, which is the largest AI innovation in Samsung’s mobile phone history.
But are also rumors that the next flagship would have a titanium frame, just like the iPhone 15 Pro variants that were released this year. Also, Ice Universe revealed on X (previously Twitter) that the screen is anticipated to have symmetrical, 40% thinner bezels than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Additionally, it appears like the hole-punch cutout for the front camera has shrunk and changed.
According to Ice Universe, color options for the smartphone will include black, grey, violet, yellow, green, blue, and orange.
In addition, prior speculation has indicated that the three Galaxy S24 versions may have roundeder sides than their predecessors.
